DESCRIPTION
The I.S.E.O. Summer School is a renowned international program specializing in international economics.
The 22nd edition, titled “The New Global Economic Order“, will investigate some of the main challenges that global economy is facing in such a turbulent period. The world economy is undergoing a fundamental transformation and the distinguished speakers of the I.S.E.O. Summer School will try to analyse threats and opportunities. New geopolitical balances and fragmentation, international trade rollercoasters, the impact of artificial intelligence, the green transition, emerging inequalities in the labour market and persistent global inflation are just some of the topics which will be covered during the intensive one week course.
The course is conducted entirely in English, with each lecture consisting of a first part of straight talk by the speaker, followed by an engaging Q&A session with participants.
The course will gather a diverse group of around 60 graduate and postgraduate economics students from around the world.
LOCATION
Participants are invited to Iseo, a charming town on the shores of Lake Iseo (Northern Italy), just a short distance from Milan.
Both classes and accommodations will be hosted at the Iseolago Hotel, a delightful 4-star hotel by the lake.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with international participants and speakers – who will all be lecturing onsite – while enjoying the local surroundings, cuisine and a range of exciting leisure activities. These include kayaking, excursions and wine tastings, all taking place in an informal, multicultural and inspiring atmosphere unique to the I.S.E.O. Summer School.
POSTER SESSION
The I.S.E.O. Summer School program will feature a poster session.
All participants are invited to take part by presenting their research through visuals such as graphs, photos, diagrams and brief text.
This session provides an excellent opportunity for young economists from diverse countries and universities to contribute to discussions on the ongoing transformations in international economics.
All participants selected for the I.S.E.O. Summer School 2026 will have the chance to join the poster session.
